 Abstract:
»Finally, Nicole Burkholder-Mosco discusses how the story of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo—from the original novel to the Swedish and American films—depicts the classic disparity between violent men and the women they violate. Written or directed by men, these texts present the impression that women have no hope for official retribution or even the prevention of abuse, with vigilante justice being their only recourse.«
